Since former Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act into law in 2021, we’ve seen an explosion of licensed cannabis dispensaries and various smoke shops all over the Empire State.
That legislation, which was quite a landmark feat for one of America’s largest states, marked a new frontier for those looking to expand into legalized marijuana related businesses. From cultivation and grow operations to retail outlets for people to get their hands on some flower, the last few years have been interesting to watch as some businesses grow while others have started to fail.
