Niagara Falls man admits to injuring gas station cashier during robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man has pleaded guilty to an assault charge in connection with injuring a gas station cashier during a robbery in January 2024, the Niagara County DA’s Office said Thursday.

Darrion Cotton, 59, hit the worker in the head with a hammer during a robbery at a gas station at Buffalo Avenue and 63rd Street around 7 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2024. She suffered serious injuries.
