Volunteers are getting ready to host Buffalo’s sixth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. It’s set to take place nationwide and locally on Jan. 19.
“It is about coming outside, putting some gloves on, grabbing a hammer or a paint brush, but it is also about community,” said Zeneta Everhart, member of Buffalo Common Council. “It is about coming together for a purpose, right? Together, all of us together doing something together for the betterment of our community and that is what this MLK Day of Service does.”
