BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been sentenced for hitting his wife with an ax and killing her in their home last summer, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
Police officers found Elibeth Salazar, 29, dead on the bedroom floor of an apartment in the early morning hours of Aug. 26, 2024. They had responded to the 300 block of Rhode Island Street to a report of a domestic incident.
Antonio Prieto, 47, struck Salazar with an ax and killed her. He was found in the bathroom with self-inflicted knife wounds and was taken to ECMC for treatment…
