TONAWANDA, N.Y. — With New Year’s Eve less than two weeks away, the Cities of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda are preparing to welcome 2026 with a familiar celebration along the canal.
The Twin Cities on the Canal Ball Drop will return for a third year, bringing residents together on New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year. The event will once again center on the Renaissance Bridge, which connects the two communities, featuring fireworks over the water and a ball drop on the North Tonawanda side of the bridge.
