In the winter of 2026, communities along Scajaquada Creek watershed are invited to participate in a series of workshops that will help Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper to “build a shared vision for the protection and the restoration of the watershed.”

The time has come to take back natural resources that have been compromised for decades. Today, the creek suffers from sewage and stormwater overflows, high bacteria levels, habitat degradation, etc. And while there are some serious problems that cannot be addressed (entire communities were built on top of the creek), there are still plenty of ways to restore a semblance of balance to the watershed as a whole…
