Buffalo PBA: Officers involved in Granville case disciplined

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Police Union has told WIVB News 4 that the officers involved in the case of Erie County Sheriff’s Chief of Narcotics D.J. Granville have been disciplined by the department.

In April 2024, Granville crashed into several cars on Buffalo’s West Side in his county car, causing over $60,000 in damage. The five Buffalo officers who responded that night were placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave a year later. That includes Buffalo Police Detective Sergeant Lucia Esquilin, Granville’s sister-in-law.
