Upstate NY man shot another man who was plowing driveway, police say

An Upstate New York man has been arrested after shooting someone who was plowing a driveway during a snow storm, according to New York State Police.

Walter M. Blaze, 57, of Collins, N.Y., was charged with attempted murder and assault Tuesday following a five-hour standoff, troopers said. The incident began with a shooting around 10:20 a.m. at a residence in the town of Collins, according to police.

Police say an investigation determined Blaze used a firearm to shoot at a 23-year-old man from Gowanda, N.Y. The victim was plowing the driveway with a 2023 LS 4×4 tractor when he was shot, and ran from the area…
