BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Sean Ryan will be sworn in as the 64th Mayor of Buffalo on New Year’s Day, making history as the city’s first newly elected mayor in 20 years.
From the balcony inside Kleinhans Music Hall, Ryan will take his official oath of office at 11:30 a.m., ahead of the inauguration ceremony beginning at noon. It is the first Buffalo mayoral inauguration to be held at the 85-year-old music hall.
Ryan will be sworn in by Judge Anthony Brindisi, whom he served with in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2019. The City of Buffalo will administer the oath…
