BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two teenagers have been sentenced in connection with a shooting that caused the death of a toddler and injuring his sister.
Jahaan Taylor, 16, of Buffalo, a juvenile offender, was sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison. He was found guilty by a jury in October on charges of one count of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, and one count of Assault in the Second Degree.
Elijah Mumford, 17, of Buffalo, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by five years post-release supervision. A jury found him guilty of one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree and one count of Assault in the Second Degree.
