Jury convicts Cheektowaga man in 2024 Buffalo home attack

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Cheektowaga man was convicted by an Erie County jury of a violent sexual assault and criminal trespass stemming from a 2024 incident in the City of Buffalo, Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced.

Deon D. Eppslove — also known as Deon Love, 31, of Cheektowaga — was found guilty of one violent felony count of criminal sexual act in the first degree and one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass.

The verdict was reached following two days of deliberations after a five-day trial. Prosecutors said the jury “convicted the defendant of the highest sustainable charge and a lesser included offense,” while acquitting him of all other counts in the indictment…
