Winter Storm Warnings are in place in Western New York as lake-effect snow ramps up today.
The remaining lake effect band from yesterday will be growing in intensity today. The winds will be out of the SW. This means the band will start in Niagara County and the north towns. As the band grows stronger, it will slowly move south into the Buffalo metro and then eventually into the south towns and southern Erie county. For the majority of Tuesday, this is where the snow band will sit.
The south towns and southern Erie county will likely see the greatest snowfall amounts between today and tomorrow. Some isolated areas may even reach over a foot of snow…
