BUFFALO, N.Y. — GameStop is closing hundreds of locations nationwide, including stores in western New York.
While the Texas-based video game retailer has not released an official list of which stores are closing, the GameStop website lists a total of 471 locations as closed with no reopening date listed.
The company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last year that it would close “a significant number of additional stores in fiscal 2025,” which ends on Jan. 31, 2026. GameStop closed 590 stores in the United States during the previous fiscal year…
