The numbers tell a story on who passed the last police exam

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Concerns over how Buffalo police officer candidates are screened and removed from eligibility lists are back under scrutiny, following new data obtained through a Freedom of Information request and testimony from a rejected applicant.

Back in December, members of the Buffalo Common Council’s Civil Service Committee heard from candidates who said they were unfairly removed from the Buffalo Police Department exam list after passing multiple stages of the process.
