The Erie County District Attorney’s Office was busy in January. There were quite a few noteworthy cases involving the plea deals or sentencing of criminals in the Buffalo area.
Two Buffalo Teens Sentenced For Killing Toddler
Two male teenagers, who were 14-years-old and a 16-years-old at the time of the crime, were sentenced for killing a three-year-old boy. His sister was also injured in the deadly shooting. The incident happened on Friday, June 21, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm. The shooting took place on Domedion Avenue near Genesee Street. The three-year-old boy, named Ramone “Red” Carter, was shot in the back. He was pronounced dead at ECMC. His 7-year-old sister was grazed by a bullet. The two males were shooting at another group of young males, not intending to hit the children.
