Buffalo man faces 25 years for robbery of Hamburg liquor store

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man could be sentenced to a maximum of 25 years in prison for a robbery of a liquor store in Hamburg back in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Around 7:50 p.m. on Nov. 22, Jayshawn Williams, 35, and a co-defendant forcibly stole property from a liquor store on Lakeshore Road. They were both wearing ski masks at the time of the crime, officials said.

An apparent handgun was used in the robbery. Williams and his co-defendant allegedly stole cash, several bottles of liquor and a victim’s cellphone…
