NY Attorney General Reaches Settlement with Manufacturer That Aided Buffalo Supermarket Shooter

New York Attorney General Letitia James has announced a global settlement with a gun accessory manufacturer that aided the man who committed a racially motivated mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket. During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Letitia James said Mean Arms will pay $1.75 million in restitution to the victims’ families, injured individuals and traumatized survivors of the May 2022 shooting at Tops Markets on Jefferson Avenue. She adds that Mean Arms will permanently stop selling the MA Lock — a device that locks a magazine onto a rifle — in New York State.
