The Canisius athletic department mourns the passing of former men’s lacrosse standout and Canisius Sports Hall of Famer Jason Cummings ’95, who passed away following a brief illness on Feb. 6.
Born in Buffalo and raised in Rochester, N.Y., Cummings was a member of the Golden Griffin program from 1992-95, amassing 105 goals and 81 assists for 186 points. The first player in program history to surpass the 100-goal milestone, Cummings currently ranks third on the Griffs’ all-time points and goal charts, while sitting fourth in program history for career assists.
A team captain during his senior season, Cummings graduated with a degree in marketing from Canisius in 1995. He was inducted into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2011…
