BLASDELL, N.Y. — A local animal shelter is looking for community support after being burglarized a week before their 25th anniversary gala.
Local cat rescue shelter Ten Lives Club (TLC) said in a social media post Friday that three people allegedly broke into the shelter, and grabbed a number of items, including those that were meant to be prizes a basket raffle for the organization’s 25th Anniversary Gala.
“We’re coming up on just two weeks away, it’s on February 28 and every donation is always to benefit the cats and our organization,” Ten Lives Club President Sallie Edwards said in an interview with 2 On Your Side. “…for everything to be stolen out from under us in one night is heartbreaking.”…
