Imagine two of your favorite local rivals deciding to move in together. The competition may have been passionate, but now, they’re working together to create something even more beautiful. That’s exactly what’s happened at the new Chandler Street Breweries!
Community Beer Works (CBW) and Thin Man Brewery, along with the edgy Smoldered Society Beer Co., are all officially under one roof on Chandler Street in Black Rock.
Located in the former Thin Man, the new Chandler Street Breweries taproom is galvanizing these iconic brands to create a destination. Brand manager Cameron Frank had been working at Thin Man for nearly a decade when it was acquired by CBW. He told me the new taproom is all about “internal synergy.” CBW has put all of its production into one massive facility next to the taproom so the focus can be on making good beer and vibes.
“It’s been an interesting ride: playing in the same market as CBW all those years and then working through this integration to develop a synergy between two unique breweries,” he said. “I think the taproom is the final piece of that puzzle.”…
