During the release of the Internal Affairs files related to the Buffalo Police Department’s investigation into the crash involving Erie County Narcotics Chief DJ Granville, Mayor Sean Ryan accused former acting Mayor Chris Scanlon of deliberately closing that investigation before he took office.
Ryan was asked why weren’t the officers that were involved in the response to the crash terminated.
“The answer to that is because, on December 31 less than 24 hours before I took office, the issue was disposed of and closed, and I have no ability to go back and look at that action,” Ryan said…
