BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following U.S. action in Iran and the recent mass shooting in Austin, Texas, police in Buffalo have increased security throughout the city.
Police said there are no known threats in our area, but they’re taking extra precautions to ensure public spaces remain secure so residents feel safe.
“We’re looking to put people’s minds at ease with letting them know the precautions that we’re taking to support safe events for them,” said interim Buffalo Police Commissioner Craig Macy. “We’re working with our regular partners in the FBI, state police, Sheriff’s Office, to be able to get as much information on events in the world as possible through their apparatuses that they have.”…
