Granville Files: Former Commissioner Wright believed an effort to cover up was made, but as a Deputy, didn’t report rumors he heard

BUFFALO, N.Y. — On September 3, 2025, then Buffalo Police Commissioner Alphonso Wright told Internal Affairs investigators that he heard “rumors” about the Granville crash back in “September, October” of 2024, roughly five or six months after the crash.

Wright also did not tell his supervisor, Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia, about the rumors he had heard.
