The last few days in the Buffalo region have given people across Western New York reason to believe the weather has started to turn for the better. As temperatures consistently rise above freezing and the snow melts, people are really starting to look forward to spring and summer.

Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 8, 2026, and at 2 am, the clocks will spring forward one hour. Buffalo Will See Its First Late Sunset On March 8th
At the end of the day on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when the United States observes Daylight Saving Time for the spring, the people of Buffalo will experience thier first 7 pm sunset since September 29, 2025, when the sun set at 7 pm on the dot.
By bumping the clocks forward by an entire hour, Buffalo’s sunset time will change from 6:12 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2026, to 7:14 pm on Sunday…
