New York AG opens investigation after officer-involved-shooting in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York Attorney General’s Office of Special Investigation announced Monday that it has opened an investigation following an officer-involved shooting in Buffalo.

Buffalo Police have identified the man as 58-year-old Charles Butler. They say Butler recently moved to the Western New York area approximately seven months ago.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, on March 5, shortly before 11 p.m., Buffalo Police responded to a home on Minnesota Street in Buffalo after receiving a 911 call.
