BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man formerly from Amherst is facing eight years in prison followed by five years of parole supervision for his role in an attempted robbery in 2024, the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
Officials said an attempted robbery in the City of Jamestown planned by 39-year-old Evan Nix resulted in the shooting death of one of his accomplices, and two other accomplices sustained gunshot injuries.
