We continue the series on walking Buffalo, from the intrepid couple who walked every day—no matter the weather—in the early years of Covid. Not everyone uses the word “funky” the way we’re using it here. According to Webster’s it can mean “foul,” as in having an offensive odor; or describe a certain Black musical style, as in “funk.” Informally (the way we’re using the word here) it means “odd or quaint in appearance or feeling,” “unconventionally stylish,” or “hip.” We might add “weird.”…
