BUFFALO, N.Y. — Jill Redman has seen the impact of living paycheck to paycheck, which is why she started Hope Bridge Collaborative.
“Hope Bridge was started in my mind about six years ago. I had a friend who needed to be treated at the hospital, and he didn’t go because he didn’t have the money for the co-pay,” said Redman.
According to the New York State Community Action Association’s 2025 Annual Poverty Report, more than 30% of households in New York live below the ALICE threshold.
