Pair of historic Navy vessels could be headed to Erie for repairs

A pair of historic Naval vessels docked at the Erie County Naval and Military Park in Buffalo could soon be headed to Donjon Shipbuilding & Repair in Erie.

But first, there’s work to be done to stabilize both the USS Croaker — a 312-foot submarine launched in 1943 — and USS The Sullivans, a World War II destroyer.
