Assembly Majority Leader questioning Buffalo budget plans

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes is raising concerns about the City of Buffalo’s budget deficit.

In a letter to Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan, Peoples-Stokes said she has serious concerns with his proposed 25 percent property tax levy increase. She also asked a number of questions about the $109 million budget gap and Ryan’s effort to include the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority (BFSA)bonding proposal in the State Budget.
