Buffalo veteran shares story of 2,100 days as prisoner of war in Vietnam

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Over 2.7 million Americans answered the call to serve in Vietnam — young men and women defined by courage, sent far away from home to be thrown into a conflict that would change their lives forever.

That was certainly the case for Frank E. Cius Jr., a Buffalo native and fresh enlistee of the U.S. Marine Corps assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in the Vietnam War.
