Affordable housing developers are keeping busy. Beacon Communities Services LLC is proposing a five-story, 157-unit affordable apartment building for a 2.16-acre site located at the southwest corner of Michigan Avenue and E. Eagle Street on the edge of downtown. The ‘L’-shaped building will occupy a site currently occupied by a former KFC restaurant on the western edge of the Ellicott Town Center complex.
