A 40-year-old Upstate New York man faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly retrieving a firearm from his vehicle and pointing it at customers inside a popular restaurant following a dispute over gratuity.
East Aurora Police received a report at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday of a male customer brandishing a firearm at Bar-Bill Tavern in the Village of East Aurora. Police patrols responded to the restaurant, but the subject had left before their arrival.
Witnesses told patrol officers that Scott Rutkowski, of West Seneca, had grown upset over a $1 tip a customer had left and went to his vehicle to retrieve a firearm, according to WGRZ.
