HAMBURG, N.Y. — One person was rescued following a rollover crash that happened Saturday afternoon on the New York State Thruway.
The Newton Abbott Fire Department in Hamburg said it arrived on the scene around 4 p.m. Saturday. They found one person trapped inside a vehicle. Fire and emergency crews “immediately began operations on the passenger side to gain access to the patient,” the fire department said.
The Scranton Volunteer Fire Company, also in Hamburg, arrived shortly after and initiated extrication efforts on the driver’s side. Crews successfully managed to get the person out of the car within 10 minutes…
