BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Leaders in the town of West Seneca spoke out on Monday about a former councilmember who recently resigned amid concerns of ethics violations.
Jeffrey Piekarec abruptly stepped down last week amid concerns he was sharing confidential town business to a third party. A resident came forward, sharing a series of text messages allegedly sent by the former councilmember that appeared to discuss internal town business.
Town supervisor Gary Dickson said he addressed the messages with Piekarec as soon as he was made aware, and Piekarec resigned shortly afterwards…
