Caring for others means caring for yourself

Since she moved to the U.S. from Moldova, Cristina Gore wanted to open a spa. Beginning in 2014, with limited English proficiency and no family support, she began working—at restaurants, in production at Greatbatch, and for a now-closed spa. Finally, in November 2024, she realized her dream when she opened Lady Bird Laser Spa, named to evoke confidence, freedom, and transformation. “It’s exactly how I want every client to feel after their treatments,” she says. “It’s not just about results; it’s also about feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin.”

When she’s with Lady Bird clients, Gore’s focus is delivering safe and effective laser treatments, personalized skincare solutions, and providing optimal results. Outside work, she balances family and self-care in a way that leaves her rejuvenated and ready to commit to her business and its growing client base. Here’s a typical day for the entrepreneur:

6:30 a.m.

Gore starts her day with a strong cup of coffee and, often, Pilates and bookkeeping before heading to work. At Lady Bird, she’s not just the owner; as the only licensed aesthetician on staff, she also provides the treatments.
