BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated after crashing his jeep into a residential backyard.
According to New York State Police, Austin Edward Payne, 30, was driving southeast on the I-190 in a 2020 Jeep Cherokee when he allegedly failed to maintain the lane and drove through the Exit 4 off-ramp. His vehicle then hit an exit sign and continued over a concrete divider, hit several more signs and a guardrail, before rolling multiple times down a hill.
The vehicle eventually landed in a residential backyard on Selkirk Street…
