BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Renovations are now complete at a historic one-room schoolhouse in Akron dating back to the Civil War days.
The small log schoolhouse opened on Cummings Road shortly after the end of the Civil War. Several of the students were descendants of families who worked at a nearby cement mill.
Several years ago, a group called Friends of Limerick advocated to restore the building, where revenue from Erie County helped complete the job…
