Buffalo bond standoff adding millions to city projects as Comptroller pledges another appeal

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The standoff between the Comptroller, Common Council and Mayor’s office related to the 2025 capital budget for the city of Buffalo isn’t over.

Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams says she will be applying for an appeal of a recent Fourth Department decision that agreed with a lower court ruling saying that her role was ministerial in nature, and she needed to go to the bond market for the 2025 capital budget.
