GATEWAY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested in Gateway after he barricaded himself and his family inside of their home for hours on Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to a house on Country Day Circle around 4:54 a.m. after a child reported a “physical disturbance” in the home, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.
LCSO said the 911 call revealed that Raymond Michael Rhodes, 43, battered a woman in the house, armed himself with a firearm and threated to kill her before taking his own life.
