A house hunter in The Villages who had been arrested in a dispute with a lawn service worker has escaped prosecution in the case.
The prosecutor’s office announced earlier this month that no information will be filed in the case of 68-year-old Kenneth Brian Herman of Port Charlotte. He had been facing a charge of battery. The prosecutor’s office indicated the matter has been “resolved without prosecution.”
The lawn service worker was pushing a lawn mower on May 2 to a residence when Herman’s pickup “came hurrying past him” in the Village of Buttonwood, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
