At 16 years old, Chase isn’t asking for much — just a soft bed, gentle hands, slow walks and someone to love him for the rest of his days. This senior sweetheart is friendly, gentle, crate-trained and has good leash manners. Yes, Chase is a sweet, gentle old soul who deserves to spend his golden years knowing what it feels like to be safe, spoiled and home.
Meet Moxie, a 4-year-old, female, independent barn cat who likes to do things on her own terms. She may be slow to warm up, but that’s OK — not every cat dreams of being a lap cat.
Moxie would love a safe barn or similar setting where she can have her space, explore and live her best cat life. This special girl may not be the first one to run up for cuddles, but she still deserves a job, a chance and a home where she belongs.
These animals are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, 3519 Drance St., Port Charlotte. All animals are microchipped, neutered and up to date on their shots. We are open by appointment only. All of our adoptable pets are on the AWL website (www.awlshelter.org). If you see a pet that you would like to meet, call to make an appointment. We are taking appointments from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.
