Outback Steakout Is Giving Away Free Bloomin’ Onions in Honor of National Onion Day

We love a fun holiday, and June 27 fits the bill. If you weren’t aware of National Onion Day, join the club. But in honor of the day of the most well-known allium, everybody’s favorite Aussie-themed grill is giving away its iconic Bloomin’ Onion to celebrate.

That’s right, Outback Steakhouse is giving away one of their signature battered and deep-fried onions cut to “bloom” open like a savory flower. To take advantage of this offer, mention National Onion Day to your server — although it requires an adult entree and is limited to only one per table.

Interestingly, the Bloomin’ Onion is not an Australian dish; the current version was created by one of the founders of the Outback restaurant chain. Many dining chains have faced setbacks and closures in recent years, but at least 10 cities have recently received their very own brand-new Outback Steakhouse. Check to see if your city made the list.
