Fort Myers man sentenced to 35 years for fatal nightclub shooting

NAPLES, Florida — A judge has sentenced 34-year-old Alexander Evans, of Fort Myers, to 35 years in prison for his involvement in a fatal shooting outside a Naples nightclub in 2022. Evans pleaded no contest to charges including second-degree murder with a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and battery on a person 65 or older.The incident occurred on October 8, 2022, outside Cavo Lounge at Mercato, following a disturbance between two groups inside the club that escalated into violence.
