PUNTA GORDA — Punta Gorda Mayor Debi Lux spoke to city business leaders Wednesday, saying the City Council is going to be proactive with water restrictions, responsible budgeting and other issues.
During her talk at the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce’s annual State of the City luncheon at the Punta Gorda Isles Yacht Club, Lux said Shell Creek, the city’s primary source of drinking water, is in trouble as it’s diminishing and nearing the end of its life.
