That unforgettable day in 2010 when icicles covered trees at a nursery in North Fort Myers

Back in January of 2010, pretty much the last time Fort Myers saw temperatures tumble below freezing (32 degrees) according to this story we published on Jan. 9 , desperate times demanded desperate measures at the Wigert Bonsai Nursey in North Fort Myers.

According to National Weather Service data , the last time Fort Myers experienced freezing temperatures was Jan. 11, 2010. Temperatures dropped to 31 degrees at Page Field and 30 degrees at Southwest Florida International Airport…
