Charlotte County residents with skin in the game regarding local municipal service benefit units (MSBUs) should mark their calendars for the upcoming public hearings. On July 16, at 5:01 p.m., discussions will commence at the Charlotte County Administration Center, Room 119, addressing MSBUs that include Cook and Brown Street, Harbour Heights Waterway, and Northwest Port Charlotte Waterway. The following day, July 17, also at 5:01 p.m., the Lemon Bay High School Performing Arts Center will serve as the second venue to further deliberate upon Englewood East Street and Drainage, Gardens of Gulf Cove Street and Drainage, and additional street and drainage issues in the Placida Area and South Gulf Cove.
Interested parties, particularly those whose properties might be affected by the MSBU proposals, were expected to have received formal meeting notices by mail.
