Get ready to make a splash, Charlotte County families! The local Community Services is bringing back the summer fun with the REC2U Splash Back to School event. Scheduled for a Saturday, Aug. 9 at the McGuire Park Splash Pad, it promises plenty of wet and wild entertainment for kids and parents alike. Located at 21125 McGuire Ave. in Port Charlotte, the splash pad will play host to variety of water-themed activities.
There’s no cost to join in on the festivities, and families can dive in without the need to register beforehand. According to an announcement made by Charlotte County Community Services on yesterday, the day will be packed with water slides and games, and even a food truck for when hunger strikes amid the fun. Face painting and field games are also on the agenda, ensuring that the day will be brimming with activities catered to all ages.
