Rotary to give away children’s book from famous chef

BABCOCK RANCH — A famous chef turned children’s author is now part of the SWFL Rotary Club’s free book program for local children.

On Aug. 15, Chef Vikas Khanna released a new children’s book “Festivals at the Bungalow.” It focuses on the cultural significance of Indian festivals, traditions, culture and shared humanity.

Members of the Southwest Florida Rotary Club in Babcock Ranch wanted to give the book to children for free. The club recently reached its $20,000 goal to give the book to children for free, according to Priya Ahluwalia, founding member of the club and lead organizer of the initiative…
