Man arrested after leaving bag full of cocaine at hotel counter, deputies charge

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WWSB) – Two people were arrested after they allegedly left a bag holding 25 grams of cocaine at the front desk of a hotel in Punta Gorda.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the Wyvem Hotel in the 100 block of East Retta Esplanade Aug. 17.

Two hotel employees said a frequent guest identified as Kristofer Matos came out of an elevator at about 9:30 a.m. with a woman, and had a short conversation with the receptionist before leaving…
